Anime review: Zombie Loan.
Kita Michiru runs into two strange boys at school and her life is changed forever. That’s the simplest way to describe Zombie Loan. The boys in question are Tachibana Shito and Akatsuki Chika, the only survivors of a tragic accident. The only catch is, they didn’t survive. They’re zombies.

Lucky for them, their new friend can help.
Oh, they’re not your typical George Romero zombies. They just happen to be undead. Living or dead, they have a debt to pay. They owe “Mr. Ferryman” for their unusually ambulatory afterlife. To pay him back they hunt other, somewhat more typical, zombies. Lucky for them, their new friend can help.
When her glasses are removed Kita Michiru has the ability to see “death rings”, dark rings around a person’s neck. They’re a sign that someone is a zombie. That’s how she learned Shito and Chika were no longer alive. Since they can’t see the death rings, they need her help. It’s a good thing too, or she would be dead.
That’s how it all starts. It’s a pretty interesting show. Action, humor and decent animation. Throw in a creepy little girl and girl with a split personality who likes to feel up Michiru and you have an anime worth checking out. It’s kind of like a cross between Bleach and Fruits Basket with just a dash of Hellsing. Sounds like a weird combo, but it works.
