Don’t stand, don’t stand so, don’t stand so close to me

There is a very interesting post on AnimeNewsNetwork. It’s a letter from Seven Seas Entertainment about the recent controversy surrounding one of their manga.

Why is it that every time someone doesn’t like something they come to the conclusion that no one else should get a chance to decide for themselves? Seriously, if the description of a book, manga, or anything else bothers you, that’s fine. If you then decide that it’s your life’s work to make sure no one else can enjoy it, that’s not fine. That’s nuts. Unless you have some special E.S.P. that tells you what is bad for everyone, then at least read it before trying to protect everyone.

If you do have super special bad book E.S.P. leave a comment. I’m sure we’d all like to know what we shouldn’t read.
