Justice is served!
I decided to start my reviews of older anime thanks to a reader comment. Here’s a short review of Miami Guns. It’s an anime that’s been out for a while. If you haven’t seen it, that’s good news. That means you can get it cheap. Well, a little cheaper than the new releases anyway.

To Protect and Service
Want an anime with action, adventure, comedy, romance and a perverted alligator/Pokemon/dinosaur/thing with a panty fetish? I know, who doesn’t, right? Well the anime you need to check out is Miami Guns. Of course if you were looking for an anime with a perverted alligator/Pokemon/dinosaur/thing with a panty fetish you probably need check into getting serious help. I guess I should mention that it suggested for ages 17+. Seems about right to me. There is a ton of fanservice, but you never really see anything.
Partners
Yao Sakurakouji and Lu Amano are partners on the Miami police force. Yao is a rich girl who craves adventure and Lu is a penny pinching by the book cop. That’s a clash of personalities that can cause explosions. Lots of ‘em. All over Miami. Constantly. That’s part of the reason they’re partners. Lu is the daughter of the police chief and she’s supposed to be keeping Yao under control. Ha! Not likely.
Miami Guns is a buddy cop action comedy. Lethal Weapon with chicks and wacky humor. Weird as that sounds, it works. It’s funny and the action scenes are pretty good. It may not be a classic, but it’s worth checking out.
Is it worth it?
I think so. I own the DVDs, but this is the kind of weird stuff I enjoy. I’d suggest renting it first, just to see if it suits you.

Ranma 1/2! Of course, I’m slightly obsessed with Rumiko Takahashi LOL.
Oh - does The Last Unicorn movie count as an anime? As far as I know, it was made enirely in Japan. Then again, so was the original Transformers, right?!
