Spotlight: Otaku USA
What do I think of OtakuUSA?
I was shopping for manga at the bookstore the other day and saw a new anime magazine. OtakuUSA looked pretty good, and a free DVD never hurts, so I picked it up along with Newtype USA. It’s very similar to Newtype. Large size and plenty of pictures. It has sections on anime, manga, conventions, games and interviews. It also comes with a DVD with a few full episodes of anime and some trailers. I love that. I’ve found some anime I love thanks to the DVD previews inserted into magazines.
Thanks to OtakuUSA I’ve gotten the lowdown on the Highlander anime coming to the SciFi channel, learned more than I ever wanted to know about plastic Gundams and reinforced my desire to attend an anime convention in Japan. I’ve also signed up to win free stuff. They’re giving away some of the stuff sent to them by their sponsors. Lucky s.o.b.s, I wish I got free stuff to give away. Shoot, I just wish I got free stuff, it doesn’t even need to be the collector’s edition. You hear that ADV? Review copies accepted here.
What do I think of OtakuUSA? I like it. I’ll probably pick it up again.

Otaku USA all the way. Picked up the first copy the other day and it looks promising. More information than any other mag and the DVD is cool.

Yep, I’ve enjoyed it a lot. Keep checking back, I might give away a subscription in a future contest.
